C4T Post #2:

9TH – 12TH GRADE SEARCH LESSON

Mr. Jeff Utecht introduced search lesson plans in his blog: K-2 Lesson Plan, 3-5 Lesson Plan, 6-8 Lesson Plan, and 9-12 Lesson Plan.
In this lesson, educators will focus on the following two ideas: domain extensions and the Google Search Syntax 'site' and finding current research. To find current research, he fully explained how to narrow down student's research by date on Google. Google allows students to set a date range using the menu on the left side under "Show Search Tools" and they create a custom date range. By the use of the 'site' and the date range, they can get the results they want because these two very powerful filters. He provided homework as a part of lesson plan and example of research.
